You already know how annoying some websites can be with flashing pop-ups and pages upon pages you have to go through to find the information you need. Make your website user friendly with a few of these tips and ideas, and your customers will surely thank you.
1. Make sure each page on the site has something valuable to offer. It is fine to have a cover type/entry page to your site, but you don't want to people to be clicking through multiple useless pages to get what they want. Most of the time they come to your website with a purpose and they want to find it easily.
2. Avoid annoying pop-ups. Point blank, nobody likes pop-ups. Ever. They are obnoxious and distracting, and frankly just end up frustrating the user.
3. Don't use an image background. It makes the site look very amateur, and cluttered. Keep it simple with a solid color, it will make the site look a lot more neat and organized. Less sometimes really is more.
